Maido Observatory on Réunion Island is located at 2km elevation on a remote island in the southern Indian Ocean, enabling long-term sampling of the tropical free troposphere. During the 2018 Intensive Observation Period (IOP), a comprehensive suite of instruments, including the CU 1D-MAX-DOAS, acquired data on particle occurrence and their precursors.
