In cooperation with the Storm Peak Laboratory (SPL) we placed a MAX-DOAS instrument at this mountain top lab, located at 3220 m M.S.L. near Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The goal was to be able to directly measure trace gases in the free troposphere. Additionally we developed a weather-proof heated housing for the telescope that enables us to measure in harsh environments.
